Electronic Elmendorf Protear

The Electronic Elmendorf Protear ProTear measures the tear strength of a wide range of materials. Thwing-Albert is the first place created by Dr. Thwing and Mr. Armin Elmendorf. This method developed over a century ago has set the industry standard used worldwide today for measuring tear strength.

The electronic generation of ProTear Testers quickly and accurately evaluates the tear resistance of sheet materials including paper, textiles, roofing products, plastic films and foils. The electronic generation features a touchscreen control panel that enables a simple one-touch procedure to initiate tear tests and data monitoring. The machine is equipped with two sets of pendulums with different weights. ProTear Tester offers several power configurations. MAP4 software can be used to assess tear strength with dynamic tear data calculated at every point to enable real-time recording5 of data such as sample tear.
